(walking along the 'Pineapple Track' on Sunday afternoon...)A story: High above the small settlement of Dunedin by the sea the people cut down the forest and planted fence posts instead. Because there was no fruit left to eat from the trees they ate pineapples from cans and put the cans on top of the posts along the way... that is why the path is called 'Pineapple Track', although now there are no pineapple cans nor posts...
Has anyone got a picture of a pineapple/can on a post... and maybe another story...?
